Parinama Yoga
Parinama Yoga or Transformation Yoga is one form of Hatha Yoga, the method of which after years of experimenting with his own body was developed by Italian Bruno Baleotti (Bologna).
The approach in Parinama Yoga is very similar to Iyengar Yoga. The emphasis is on the correction of posture, symmetry, precision of performance and longer maintaining in asanas. Joints become more stable, muscles develop, limbs and spine assume proper anatomic shape, circulation is improved and the entire body becomes harmonised.
Equipment such as ropes, mini wooden boxes for stretching, wooden blocks and other are used to perform in an easier and more precise manner sometimes challenging postures enabling correct and secure position in asanas, so even the beginners can experiment with their limitations, without fear of injuries, and more experienced practitioners can prepare their body for even more challenging positions.
Work in pairs is another method used in Parinama Yoga. That way we are able to see the effects of certain posture on our own body (intrinsically) and the body of our partner (extrinsically).
